The University of Valladolid has a strong international reputation for teaching Spanish, making it an ideal destination for a truly immersive language experience.
Its summer programs are designed to help students experience the language from within: they not only learn Spanish, but also become part of an authentic Spanish environment. The approach emphasizes real integration into the culture, daily life, and university setting, so learning extends far beyond the classroom.
During their stay, students develop all language skills intensively—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—while discovering Spanish society and customs in a real-life context. In addition, the courses offer high-quality academic training, with the possibility of earning credits at their home university.
Regular classroom practice also prepares students for the official Diplomas in Spanish as a Foreign Language (DELE), accredited by the Instituto Cervantes.
The program combines dynamic classes with cultural activities and excursions, designed to encourage interaction among international students and provide full immersion in Spanish language and culture.

Description
The intensive summer courses are designed to help students learn Spanish quickly, effectively, and in a dynamic way. The program allows them to develop all key language skills—grammar, listening, speaking and interaction, reading, and writing—through a communicative, task-based approach focused on achieving real results from day one. Students also join international groups, sharing the experience with peers from around the world.
Excursions and cultural activities are an essential part of the program. The Language Centre organizes trips to internationally renowned destinations, many of them UNESCO World Heritage Sites, as well as activities to explore Valladolid and its surroundings. These experiences give students the chance to discover local culture, history, and traditions while practicing Spanish in real-life contexts.
Day trips and complementary activities are included in the course fee and contribute to a fully immersive linguistic and cultural experience.
At the end of the course, students receive a certificate of attendance, provided they have attended at least 80% of the sessions. In addition, those who take and pass the final assessments will receive a certificate of achievement with their grades.

In addition to the "Spanish in Summer" program during the months of June and July, there is the option of choosing two courses of great interest for those interested in specific aspects of the Spanish language:
Spanish for Health Course (required level B2)
Spanish for Business Course (required level B2)
The program will offer students a chance to practice grammar, comprehension, oral expression and interaction, reading and writing. Our methodology focused on a communicative & task-based approach that ensures best possible results.

Level test: Participants must take an Online level test before the start of the course. The Centre will provide the access information.
Orientation session: Students participate in an orientation session and a guided tour of the city on the first day of the course.

At the end of the course, students will be awarded a certificate of attendance. In order to be awarded this certificate, students must attend 80% of the lessons.
