Spanish for Business 2024

Dates:  From July 1 to July 26, 2024

Duration: 4 weeks (80 hours)

NOTE: There is also the possibility of taking a three-week course (60 hours)

Schedule: 4 hours of lessons/day (20 hours/week) from Monday to Friday. Preferably in the mornings.

 Levels: B1 (Intermediate) and B2 (Advanced)

Description of the course

This course is for professionals and students in general who are interested in improving their communication skills in Spanish for the world of business. The aim of the course is to help students acquire the necessary language skills for engaging in business environments throughout the Spanish speaking world. Levels B1 and B2 are available.

This programme of subjects is accompanied by a series of socio-cultural activities and trips (outside of teaching hours and included in the course fees).

Place:  The course is held in the Centro de Idiomas de la Universidad de Valladolid, Campus Miguel Delibes, Paseo de Belén 13, 47011 Valladolid. Location map

Content

The course comprises the following lessons (click on the subjects to see syllabus):

Business Spanish (2 hours/day): basic concepts in the business world, specific vocabulary for the business world, and documents specifically designed for conducting business in Spanish.

Spanish Grammar  (2 hours/day): grammatical and functional content, and developing the various skills (speaking, reading, writing, and listening).

→ Classes last 60 minutes.

Level test: Participants must take an Online level test before the start of the course. The Centre shall provide the access information.

Orientation session: Students participate in an orientation session and a guided tour of the city on the first day of the course.

Assessment and certificate: At the end of the course, students are awarded a certificate of attendance (four-week course). In order to be awarded the certificate of attendance, students must attend at least 80% of the lessons.
