Levels: The course is specially designed for teaching and administrative staff from higher education institutions who wish to develop their Spanish language skills in an international and multicultural environment. Participants may join groups at A1, A2, B1 or B2 level.

Join the International Staff Week Spanish Language and Culture Course at the University of Valladolid and enjoy an intensive, interactive and enriching learning experience in the heart of Spain.

The course combines language learning with cultural discovery, encouraging participants to take an active role in the learning process through collaboration, discussion, and the sharing of professional experiences.

Classes are dynamic, interactive, and highly practical. Through conversation, group projects, presentations, and real-life communicative activities, participants develop both their linguistic competence and their intercultural awareness. In addition to language learning, the program offers valuable insight into contemporary Spain, including:

- Spanish culture and traditions
- Gastronomy and lifestyle
- The Spanish higher education system
- Society and economy
- Customs and intercultural perspectives

A particularly enriching aspect of the course is the opportunity for participants to present their own institutions, exchange best practices, and build international networks with colleagues from universities around the world.

Located in north-western Spain, Valladolid is a modern, safe, and welcoming city with a population of approximately 350,000 inhabitants.

During your stay, you will have the chance to experience the city’s historic streets, cultural attractions and lively local atmosphere while practicing Spanish in authentic settings.

Today, Valladolid combines historical heritage with modern amenities and excellent transport connections. The city is only 55 minutes from Madrid by high-speed train, making it an ideal destination for international visitors.

Location: The course is held in the Centro de Idiomas de la Universidad de Valladolid, Campus Miguel Delibes, Paseo de Belén 13, 47011 Valladolid. Location map

Level test: Participants must take an Online level test. This test helps us place you in the most suitable group so that you feel comfortable with your level. It is not a formal exam. The Centre shall provide access information before the start of the course.

How to get to Valladolid
