International Staff Week - Spanish Language Toolkit for Workplace, October 2024

The course is aimed at higher education professional, teaching and administrative staff, who need to function and deal with Spanish in business or with international partners.

Levels:  A1, A2 y B1 the CEFR

The course

An intensive professional training that which will help participants to improve the day-to-day interactions required in the Spanish language skills of the work environment.

Participants will be address to gain a range of communicative skills, improve language competence and manage the functional vocabulary required in international projects and collaborations.

Dynamic and interactive classes, based on collaborative learning and focused on the practice of linguistic and sociocultural contents through conversation and group work. The course will also cover aspects of the Spanish culture and customs. 

The program includes: 16 hours of lecture (morning), orientation session, guided historical walking tour in the city, cultural visits (National Museum of Sculpture and Contemporary Art Museum, and

• Improve the skills linked to the professional profiles of the participants.
• Achieve greater motivation and satisfaction in daily work.
• Increase the ability to respond to the social, linguistic and cultural diversity that occurs in an educational work environment.

Specific aims of the course

• Improve communicative competence in Spanish for professional performance.
• Mange the required functional vocabulary in international projects and collaborations.
• Exchange basic knowledge about the different European university systems and their international relations policies through interaction among other participants in the course
• Obtain a rewarding professional and personal training experience.
• Get to know the culture and way of life of a Spanish university city.
