Summer Intensive Spanish Course (September 2025)

The course offers intensive practice in all communicative skills of the Spanish language, while the stay in Valladolid provides direct contact with the different aspects of Spanish daily life and society. At the same time, it offers a certified, high-quality academic experience that allows students to earn credits toward their academic record.

The University of Valladolid enjoys a strong international reputation in the teaching of Spanish, making it an ideal setting for a full linguistic immersion experience.

The course is intended for international students who plan to pursue studies at the University of Valladolid and need a solid command of Spanish before the beginning of the academic year.

Starting date:  1/09/2025

Schedule:4 hours lessons/day (20 hours/week), in the mornings, from Monday to Friday.

Levels: A1,  A2 , B1 , B2 and C1

Place: Courses are taught at the University Language Centre, located in a safe and easily accessible area at the Miguel Delibes Campus, an ideal setting for learning and practicing Spanish. The campus also has many common leisure areas and facilities. Location map

Description

The intensive summer courses are designed to help you learn the language quickly and effectively. The program will offer students a chance to practice grammar, comprehension, oral expression and interaction, reading and writing.

The oral and written skills gained in Language class will thoroughly prepare students to obtain the DELE diploma in Spanish as a foreign language.

Our methodology focused on a communicative & task-based approach that ensures best possible results. Most programs are flexible and adapted to different levels. Participants would be integrated into the international courses together with other international students.

Assessment and certificate: at the end of the course, students are awarded a certificate of attendance (provided they attend at least 80% of the lessons). In addition, students who sit and pass the final examinations during the course will also be awarded a certificate of attainment listing the marks and grades.

Level test: Participants must take an Online level test before the start of the course. The Centre shall provide the access information.

Orientation session: Students participate in an orientation session and a guided tour of the city on the first day of the course.

Evaluation and certification

At the end of the course, students will be awarded a certificate of attendance. In order to be awarded this certificate, students must attend 80% of the lessons.
