COURSE DESCRIPTION
This module focuses on improving Spanish language proficiency: correct use of grammar and vocabulary appropriate to the student's level. The methodology used follows a communicative-functional approach. Daily activities and dynamics in and outside the classroom place students in real-life learning situations and communicative contexts.
Likewise, oral comprehension and expression skills are developed through the reception, comprehension, and production of different oral modalities: conversation practice, debates, role-playing in specific situations and settings, etc. All the oral and written skills worked in the Language class will prepare the student for the possibility of obtaining the diploma DELE of Spanish as a foreign language
The course is complemented by socio-cultural activities and excursions to places of great interest for their artistic and cultural heritage.
OBJETIVOS
El objetivo principal de este curso de lengua y cultura española es facilitar el desarrollo de habilidades lingüísticas que permitan a los estudiantes comunicarse de manera efectiva en diversas situaciones cotidianas. A través de la enseñanza del idioma, se busca también fomentar una comprensión profunda de las costumbres, tradiciones y valores de los países hispanohablantes, promoviendo así una apreciación de la diversidad cultural y un desarrollo de la competencia intercultural de los estudiantes, ayudándoles a interactuar con respeto y empatía en un entorno global. Además, el curso se enfoca en crear un ambiente de interacción social, donde los estudiantes puedan practicar el idioma en un contexto colaborativo, utilizando materiales auténticos que reflejen la riqueza de la cultura hispana.
METODOLOGÍA
El curso de lengua y cultura española se basa en un enfoque comunicativo y contextualizado, que busca no solo enseñar el idioma, sino también sumergir a los estudiantes en la cultura del país. Las clases se estructuran en torno a actividades interactivas que fomentan la participación activa de los alumnos, como juegos de rol, debates y proyectos grupales.
Se utilizan materiales auténticos, como artículos de prensa, canciones y películas, que permiten a los estudiantes familiarizarse con el uso real del idioma en diferentes contextos culturales. Además, se incorporan elementos de la cultura local, como tradiciones, costumbres y gastronomía, para enriquecer la experiencia de aprendizaje.

Assessment and certificate: At the end of the course, students are awarded a certificate of attendance. In order to be awarded the certificate of attendance, students must attend at least 80% of the lessons. In addition, if students pass the various tests set during the course, they will also be awarded a certificate of attainment listing the marks and grades obtained in each subject.
Note: The Language Center reserves the right to open the courses and levels if the minimum number of applicants is not reached.
